About Us

Out of this world Workouts. Down to Earth People.

We are MVP Zone

Hi! We’re Masha and Victor Payes, the creators of MVP Zone—a team of dedicated fitness coaches passionate about helping you build a strong, balanced, and healthy life.

With over 10 years of experience in personal training, group fitness, and corrective exercise, we’ve designed MVP Zone to connect the dots between strength, mobility, mental health, and nutrition. Whether you join us in-studio or online, our programs give you the tools to reach your goals safely, effectively, and with a touch of fun!

As a micro-team, we pride ourselves on personalization. Forget cookie-cutter programs—everything we do is tailored to your abilities, habits, and goals. We’re here to guide and challenge you, while keeping it manageable and motivating.

And the best part? You’re never alone. Along with the guidance of our MVP coaches, you’ll join a supportive community that makes working out more fun and encouraging. Those are some of the funnest, most caring and ready-for-anything people you will ever meet. And doesn’t working out together with like-minded people feel just so much easier?! Although we are 100% all-inclusive community, most of our clients are women of different ages.

So, who are we? We are the first people who you will credit for helping you achieve your fitness goals right after YOURSELF!

The mystery and power behind the name

Why MVP Zone

When we were about to open our first fitness studio, we wanted to make a statement that shows that we value our members and their interests and concerns. The community was always our priority and because of the unique way MVP Zone was established, we wanted to honor our future clients. That’s how “MVP” part came to mind! And it made sense, since those our also are initials!

“Zone” came to be from our fur babies, Zoey and Nemo. We love our dogs to the Moon and back and they are the motivation and the spirit of our family. So we took ZO from Zoey (Cocker Spaniel) and NE from Nemo (Captain Nemo,  Chihuahua) and that why we are MVP Zone!

MVP Zone is the place for people who share mutual respect, encouragement and determination to reach their long-term and short-term goals, together. Yes, there is friendly competition sometimes, and we believe it helps us all move forward. But the best competition each of our MVPs has is with themselves, improving their performance, healthy lifestyle and attitude.

CREATOR OF MVP ZONE

PERSONAL AND GROUP TRAINER

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE SPECIALIST

I made fitness a part of my life about 16 years ago when I felt that my body is giving up on me and limits what I want vs what I can do. I found a program that was challenging and interesting for me, so it was easy to stick with it. With time I changed my goals and priorities but finding what still motivates and pushes me to keep going is still the key for consistency!

I believe that everyone who is interested in keeping healthy and fit needs to find that one activity they really enjoy. That’s why at MVP Zone we offer the programming that doesn’t only work for health and fitness, but is also enjoyable and makes you come back for more, because you WANT TO. The journey is half the fun!

The second principle I base MVP Zone coaching on is “Safety first”. That’s why becoming a Corrective Exercise Specialist was so important for me. I make sure that while you train you also work on your deficiencies, issues and even past injuries. Transformation you see after you put hard work is why I train.

SPORTS AND PERFORMANCE COACH

OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING COACH

Coaching girls' volleyball for more than 15 years has taught me to be patient. It's taught me that form and technique and not reps is what brings real and long-term results. A good coach makes sure their athletes are properly trained, well motivated, and physically prepared for the game. That philosophy is applied to our training at MVP Zone. Whether you are looking to lose weight, build strength, or improve performance, we make sure you have the proper instruction, motivation, and exercise program to prepare you for the ultimate game: life.

What we do

Not eating after 6pm, only cardio to lose weight, don’t lift heavy so you don’t get bulky…. And other myths are so last century and have very little to do with truth. We use science-based approach to programming MVP Zone workouts, as well as targeting other areas of fitness that help you get healthier.

For example:

  • In order to get stronger, we recommend lifting heavier weights than our bodies are used to, so our muscles can adapt to increased level of stress by increasing their function.
  • To lose unhealthy weight, we focus on resistance-based training and HIIT (high intensity interval training) and healthy eating habits that promote increase in metabolic rate.
  • Each day of the week is dedicated to training different muscle groups so you can recover better in each specific area.
  • If we want our bodies to stay mobile so we could move easily and reduce muscle stiffness, we need to pay attention not only to resistance training and cardio-vascular exercise, but also improve the ability of our muscle, fascia and joints to move through a normal range of motion by doing self-myofascial release, massage and stretching. We offer a weekly Mobility class where you are directed through a series of both relaxing and challenging stretches and self-massage using a foam roller and/or other equipment you have at home.
  • Our MVP Zone portal provides helpful tools, tips and information about healthy eating and we constantly add and update the information based on new research.

Why we do it

We launched the first MVP Zone in Sherman Oaks, CA, as a way to bring friends together through fitness and healthy living. Our community is vibrant, diverse, and full of creative, determined individuals who inspire us daily with their energy and drive.

Over time, we realized that while we champion the idea that strength is beautiful and that anyone can start their fitness journey at any age, there’s still much work to be done in spreading this message. Our mission is to make fitness accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive for everyone.

In September 2024, we opened a new studio in North Hollywood, CA.

Now, as our community continues to grow both in-studio and online, we’re excited to share even more tools, knowledge, and motivation to help you enjoy the journey of getting and staying fit. Fitness is a lifelong adventure, and we’re thrilled to have you join us on it!
